Where will the balloon be launching?
Your pilot will make that decision on the day of your scheduled flight at the meeting time. Generally the Galena balloon launches near Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa from one of many designated balloon launch fields.

Where will the balloon land?
The balloon will land in a large field somewhere.Everything else is up to the winds.

How will we get back to the launch site?
The chase crew will be at our site when we land. As soon as the flight is over, the passengers will board the van and head back to the Inn for the first flight ceremony while the ground crew stays behind to load the balloon on the truck and trailer

What altitude do we reach?
The balloon's altitude will vary from treetop level to several thousand feet in the air.

Why does the balloon fly only twice a day?
Because that is when the winds and thermal activities are the calmest. That is also why it is important to be on time for your flight. Plan on meeting in front of the Inn and the entire outing lasting three hours.

What's the temperature in the balloon?
Due to the burners, the temperature in the balloon is a few degrees warmer than the surrounding air. We do not reach altitudes at which there is a noticeable temperature change.

How long is the flight?
The actual flight lasts approximately one hour. Most generally, the flights are from fifty minutes to one hour and fifteen minutes.

Do I need to arrive early if I want to watch the balloon be inflated?
No. All flights are a package deal. You can watch the entire experience.

Can I participate in the inflation and deflation?
We provide ground crew to inflate and deflate the balloon, but if you'd like to lend a hand, ask your pilot...
